Mobile Madonna - Hard Candy phone version.

Madonna will be releasing her new album ‘Hard Candy’ through a deal with … Sony Ericsson and Warner Music International.

So do handsets & network operators now have more distribution power than record companies?

The album will be released on handsets in 27 countries, starting early this month.

A couple of bundles have been planned (two versions). One with five tracks from the album and another with the full release. There will also be extra wallpapers and ringtones.

Approximately 1.14 billion handsets sold last year expected to rise to 1.4 billion in 2011. Which all ads up to a potentially very exciting deal.
