Could Google possibly be doing ‘bad things’ … with a company motto like ‘Don’t be evil’ you’d hope not. But there are people on the world wide web who have other ideas …
Speaking for myself of course, I’m a big fan of Google, if I had to make a complaint it would be that my long term memory has gone to hell because I depend on them for so much info.
Take a look at www.masterplanthemovie.com if you want to see what a world might be like with Google as the evil overlords. It’s a well produced and slick piece of work, I’m not sure where they got their info from … maybe they ‘Googled’ it?

The old phrase ‘there’s no such thing as bad publicity’ springs to mind, not that Google really needs any publicity.
But if you were a brand looking for a way to raise your profile … what about a documentary? Undercover, behind the scenes … either way, it could be an hour long ‘advert’ for your brand on prime time TV.
And if it’s any good, who knows you might win some awards too! Oh yea, then there’s the dvd sales
