A blog from the past - fight club.

William Henry Bonser Lamin

William Henry Bonser Lamin is a First World War English soldier and his blog is proving to be a surprise hit in 2008.
William made notes or sent letters almost everyday from the cold, damp trenches of a WWI front line … and his descendants have been posting them to a blog, exactly 90 years to the day.

It’s not a completely new idea but this project has made me look at blogging with fresh eyes, I think it’s something about the old juxtaposed with the new and It got me thinking … what would happen if other people from the past had access to the web.

Leonardo Da Vinci would have a cracking blog, full of puzzles and pictures … Marilyn Monroe’s web cam show would be unmissable … would Hitler have any friends on his Facebook page?

The best would have to be the God Blog … Date 01.00.00 - kicked a few ideas around and then decided to create a planet, Lucifer called about lunch … but i’m way too busy (and he never pays). Maybe next week if i get this all done … now spiders, I’m thinking eight eyes?
